Commercial Restoration - Paint Stripping

  • Before
  • After
A large part of ECO Restoration’s heritage and commercial work is stripping paint from sandstone and timber, the facades and interiors of heritage listed buildings and in some cases, removing the paint layer by layer to reveal the original stencil which the Heritage Architect may have discovered during their investigation of the history of the building. As some of these photos show, a beautiful sandstone wall was revealed after careful stripping to remove up to 30 layers of paint which had been applied over many decades. Paint has also been removed from timber and from the walls of “Brush Farm House” to reveal the original finish as requested by the architects.
